Love My Business
The Love My Business program works with suburban businesses to develop collaborative marketing programs with the goal of increasing community and customer connection. The program will allocate $100,000 in 2022 by supporting community events, marketing collaborations and digital content programs to support suburban businesses most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
OPPORTUNITIES
Community Events
Partner with another Kitchener business to host a community event and be eligible for up to $1000 of expense funding.
Eligible expenses:
✔ Musicians and performers
✔ Food and beverage
✔ Permits and Licenses
✔ Materials, decorations, rentals
✔ Other expenses based on approval from the Love My Business program
Marketing Collabs
Collaborate with two other suburban Kitchener businesses on a marketing project.
Eligible projects:
✔ Direct mail campaigns
✔ Social media campaigns using an influencer or content creator
✔ Digital or print advertising
✔ Other creative ideas!
Digital Content Support
Book a one-to-one session to assist with content support for social media and digital marketing.
Develop skills to:
✔ Batch produce photos and videos for social media
✔ Create Instagram Reels
✔ Get started with TikTok
✔ Strategize and schedule content
ELIGIBILITY:
✔ Located in suburban Kitchener: Map of Love My Business Suburban Area
✔ Business was negatively impacted by Provincial COVID-19 restrictions
✔ Business offers in person services through a bricks & mortar operation (i.e. restaurant, retail, fitness, beauty and entertainment)
✔ Meet specific requirements as outlined in the Love My Business Program Overview
Networking Event:
Our first Love My Business networking event is Monday, May 30th, 2022 at Edelweiss Tavern, 6pm-8pm.
We'll be hearing from Erica Marchand and her experience losing her Instagram to hackers in January 2022. Followed by a discussion on Instagram security and peer to peer learning. Sign up via EventBrite.
