Make It Kitchener 2.0 strategy wins Excellence Award

The Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) has awarded the City of Kitchener with a planning and strategic development excellence award for the Make It Kitchener 2.0 (MIK 2.0) economic development strategy.  

Significant Boost to Arts & Culture

Manfred and Penny Conrad have generously donated the Conrad Centre for the Performing Arts to the City to steward a vision to boost arts and creative industries.   

Major Investment #1 - Health Innovation Partnership

The City of Kitchener and the University of Waterloo have announced a partnership to build an entrepreneurial hub for health innovation.   This is the first major investment of the City's new Make It Kitchener 2.0 strategy and $110 million Investment Fund.
